Rain, rain, rain has been the word of the day for the last month here in Texas. We stopped keeping track somewhere north of 30 " of precip. While great for the water table, its caused us to be a late on shearing though it did stop raining long enough to get third crop off the hay field.

While we've not been able to get to any shows yet this year, we've had great reports from some of our buyers; Becky Salinger had Grand Champion Buck at the Vagma/Eagma, Michigan and Rhinebeck, NY shows with Hill Shepherd Mike (5062)! Way to go Becky! And Ronan Fibers let us know about their 1st place finish at the 2009 CAGBA National Show with Hill Shepherd Mezcal. Carol Ronan tells us he was twice the age of the 2-4th place bucks!
